About us

The Max Planck Society's Research Building and Infrastructure Department provides an insight into what 'building for research' entails.

The Max Planck Society (MPG), fully funded by the Joint Science Conference (GWK) of the Federal Government and its 16 States, has its own building department which has acted as a public client since 1963. The dynamics in science are constantly increasing and becoming ever more rapid, which makes it necessary to meet needs more quickly and flexibly in order to ensure the excellence of science in an international context.
