Sustainability symposium for public-sector companies
Expert network exchange platform
In 2013, 'construction workers' from the Max Planck Society, the Fraunhofer Society and the Helmholtz Association initiated the network for the exchange of ideas on 'Climate-neutral buildings as a goal for public clients', which has now grown to around 600 experts.
The climate crisis is considered THE conflict of the future and the construction sector contributes significantly to CO2 emissions. This is why the series of sustainability symposiums was initiated at the Max Planck Society in 2023 to offer representatives of all those involved in construction projects on behalf of public clients the opportunity to exchange ideas on the implementation of construction requirements and legal innovations. Together the aim is to break down entrenched ways of thinking and tread new paths to counteract the effects of climate change by creating climate-neutral buildings.
The symposium is to be held once a year and will be announced here. If it is not possible for you to attend in person, the digital library of lectures offers a good overview. The lectures made available there by participating actors from the broad field of construction can be easily accessed.
